Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for support. I'm thankful for the way friends & family work together to lift one another up in times of trouble and days of loss. I'm thankful for how little favors, small gestures or an hour here and there can really matter to someone in big ways. I'm thankful for the way people come together to get things done. More than just coming together for entertainment or spectating, I love how friends & family can work together to better something, to do something, whether it's cleaning out the garage, planting a garden or working on a community project.

So we needed some good photos of Terry's beautiful bracelets that have been very popular, and who came to our rescue? A great friend with a great camera. Thank you, Shelby. These photos look incredible, don't they? Again, so thankful for that support.

I know that it probably seems liek the obvious choice, but this week I can't help but be thankful for sacrifice. I am thankful that the Almighty Father cared enough for us, his children, that He sent His son...his ONLY son whome He loved greatly...to die on our behalf. The ultimate price was paid and as a result we no longer have to simply dwell in a hopeless world. We are now a people of hope. We are able to find rejoicing even in our earthly sorrow. We know because the debt has been paid for us, that we will spend eternity together with fellow Christians...with our loved ones...with Kyrie.

I'm praying that God will bless each of you in a special way with comfort and peace this Easter.

Big Love,
Melissa

PS. SHELBY!!! Thank you so much for the beautiful pics...they are perfect. They really capture the delicate essence of these pieces of art! Can't thank you enough. We just received a new shipment of beads and the "bead queen" is hard at work. So send your orders to melissa@kyriefoundation.org! The bracelets would make excellent Mother's Day, graduation and birthday gifts! We have already sold over 70 bracelets! WOW! Seventy opportunities to share Kyrie's story, seventy little rays of pink light shining in a dark world, and over $1000 toward our goal! Thank you...

What am I honestly thankful for today? Right now? My chai tea that I am sipping on and quiet time. Life's simplest pleasures. Sunshine, rain, and good books. God's pure rewards to us on a scale unrecognizable to the busy world.

I am thankful to everyone here for the friendship, community, grief, and hope we have expereinced together this past year! I wish I could give you all a hug!

I just bought the Mother daughter bracelet set from the gal that cuts my hair. I came home and gave one to my 10 year old daughter and the other to my 19 month old daughter. I gave them each a big hug and thanked God for their good health. I was truly touched by this story.
